Paul Dobbs wins again

Paul Dobbs has been winning in races all over the UK
this past season on his new ABSAF.

He told us that on the Isle of Man "the lap
record for a Goldstar on the island is 96mph average. I was doing high 94's from
a standing start &95 on a flying lap but the track was wet".
Unfortunately he had to drop out because of a broken fairing bracket. He
will probably be racing in New Zealand soon.

At the end of the season he took the engine apart for maintenance, and wrote
"My motor is back together now, the cam timing & squish band clearance were all
spot on. The tappet settings didn't even need adjusting, Roy Shearwood & I were
most impressed. The only mods I have made are to drill a drain in the bottom of
the sparkplug tunnel & to fit magnetic drain plug in the oil pump cover."
Velocette Club visits factory

The Velocette Club came to visit us last Saturday
afternoon taking this small Velocette with them. Luckily it was great
weather, not like when the BSA Club came, but then they did choose to come just
before Christmas. For more photos click on "Velo".
Standard Gold Star gets 600cc engine

This lovely Gold Star, still fitted in the photo with the 500cc standard
ABSAF engine, came for an upgrade: 600cc engine with alternator crankshaft and
primary chain case and ABSAF CDi magneto. Click on the photo for more pics.
Tom Heyser Team wins twice at Daytona 2004
Tom Heyser,
Team BOSS
Joe Brenner,
rider
These two have every reason to look happy, they won
two Classics races at Daytona in March. They have won in this event for
several years now, but the competition gets faster every time, so it is always a
nailbiting event for both of them, and for the rest of the team. Tom
hopes to take part in this year's InCA races again this year, especially in
Europe, to give George Beale his full support for a championship at top level
with excellent riders and superb venues.
