Paul Dobbs breaks lap record on the Isle of Man.
Paul Dobbs broke a lap record in the Senior Classics practice run, fastest Gold Star ever, congratulations Paul!
Shame a gearbox problem stopped him in the race, it would have been interesting.
Paul wasn't riding his Gold Star but one that belongs to Jan Frank Bakker, former Dutch Classics Champion see photo below.
Paul and Bridget told us:
"The record was John Loader and it was set 13 years ago.
I don't know exactly what John's speed was (around 98mph) but an interesting point is that bike never finished a race!
I don't know if our fastest lap will count officially because it was during practice and not a race."

Next year will be better, hopefully!
