Standard Gold Star

ABSAF make two engines suitable for standard Gold Stars, the 500cc and the 600cc engines.

This beautiful road-going Gold Star is fitted with a standard ABSAF engine, 500cc, with original crankcase. The owner brought her to us to be fitted with a new 600cc engine, for extra power. He left it with us and we spent the next day finding any excuse to walk around the bike and look at it, we even spent our coffee breaks sitting on the cold metal work bench just being lost in admiration.

After changing the engine, the bike looked like this:

Note the fitted Mikuni VHM carburettor.

"Engine room" looks neat and tidy with the alternator primary chain case and the ABSAF CDi magneto.
